Bio
I joined HPS in 1964 in 4th class as a day scholar and remained a day scholar, all through school. As a day scholar there was a limited scope for spending more time with friends. Any how I got some experience of boarding in Loyola college Chennai where I completed my graduation; it was also the most enjoyable period in my life.
My school life was a beautiful journey because of the environment in which we studied, and, also, because apart from studies we had lot
of extra-curricular activities and sports which developed our character and attitude. My most cherished memories of school are the day I won juniors all round championship in school athletics in 1970 and as a football player for school we won the Subroto Mukherjee football tournament just before leaving school in 1971. Without writing about our teachers, we cannot complete our profile. Mrs Rosario the principal of primary when I joined was a great person equal in all aspects to Mr Kuruvilla Jacob. Mr. Jacob was a great educationist who made grammar look simple and easy. Next Mr Daniel Sam with his DEE exclamation jokes and personal experiences made the class interesting and absorbing. Last, Mr Chandrasekhar for his dramatic way of explaining Julius Caesar which was worth listening. One last word I must tell about Mr Krishnan, Biology teacher and class teacher from 7Ato 9A. Those who were in 9A, will remember his last farewell day . We presented him a gold ring which made him so emotional that his eyes were full of tears, This farewell was as emotional as we saw in TO SIR WITH LOVE. The emotions of a teacher and students are so unique when each understands the other which is lacking nowadays.
After completing my education and entered real life ordeal, only then did I realisethat I was very fortunate to have had my schooling at HPS because I could face the challenges with confidence and move around with officials and others with ease. After finishing my graduation, I helped my father in his business as a contractor in military engineering services. In 1979 i got appointment in Indian Overseas Bank and was posted to Karimnagar. I was there for 15 months and then got transferred to the Hyderabad branch in Sultan Bazar. I cherish my stay in Karimnagar also because I experienced a life of an earning bachelor. In 1985
