About HPS Memories – Joined 4th Class, HPS in 1964.Remember it was called “Jagirdar College”. Lots of reminiscences– Nalanda House, Compulsory games, Essay writing, Quizzes, Assembly Speeches, Work Periods, Scouting- Received President Scout Cert., NCC, Camps, cartoon movies, Quadrangular Meets, hobby classes-, Sitar, Photography, Carpentry. Seeing dramatics, School Band, listening to Julius Caesar LP at Mr Chandra Shekar’s, Notable Chief Guests Shakunatala Devi, Zakir Hussain if I remember right, initially 3 buses to school, library, walk in cricket ground - airport as back drop, Post School, connects with Subba Rao, Lunch in Principal House etc. And now the HPS REUNION 2022!
Got back into my subject Electronics -Semi Conductors Marketing in 1990. Destiny came calling again in 1997 and this time, I took a step forward and went to Delhi which was my Turning point – a country manager for a Singapore based Company, visits to Singapore, Europe and China.
Married in 1983 and blessed with an adorable family - Wife Karuna, daughter Pallavi (married & settled in US) & son Srinivas. Joined Lions Clubs in 1978 and was part of various service activities – Food Donation, eye camps, blood donations etc. Apart from being a Charter Member, helmed positions in Club and as President in 1985, and also at Lions District level. Also initiated an Education Trust fund.
To sum it, as they say, life is full of ups and downs. Feel satisfied that I could achieve a balance in life.
I am privileged to be part of this reunion and cherish the memories and knowing one and all in the second innings of life.
